UAB is expected to pay $450,000 for Ascension’s interest in St. Louis. Vincent’s, after which UAB Health System Authority will become the sole corporate member of St. Vincent’s Health System, according to a resolution document.
This transaction is expected to be finalized and completed in the fall of 2024, pending approval by the Catholic Church. Until then, both health systems will continue to operate normally.
