The Maw: what’s new in PC gaming this week?

Happy week, everyone? After last week’s dry (and perhaps slightly editorialized) stretch, there’s a non-zero amount of promising new PC games on the horizon, and they cover a good spread of genres.

On Tuesday July 9, we have Once Human, a free-to-play survival-world multiplayer shooter set in a world polluted by mind-eroding Stardust. On Wednesday, July 10th, it will begin with the early entry of Time Treker (sic), aka Vampire Survivor, but with anime mechanics. Thursday July 11 unleashes the first-person foot stomp of fury and gardening thrills adjacent to Horticular’s Viva Pinata. And on Friday July 12, the SNES-style horror maze of Super Dark Deception, the cyberpunk deck building of Zero Division, and the mushroom-fingered scholarship of The Last Alchemist.

As always, you can keep track of the latest developments in the tumultuous realm of PC gaming via the live blog below, and make wicked jokes about our gamers in the attached comment thread. Also as always, the live blog is sponsored by Maw, the wild and raging embodiment of an endless hunger for News, whose million lumps we try to fill, as the case may be, with articles about dogs in Zenless Zone Zero, or humans who get mad at Call of Duty. Please let us know if you stumble upon anything that would make good Maw food.
