PRIME DAY has brought massive discounts to Amazon’s Fire TV line, with the 32-inch Series 2 hitting its lowest price ever.
When the Fire TV series was launched I bought it for £249.99. Today, it’s a steal at just £139.99.
Amazon Fire TV 32-inch 2-Series,
£139.99 for Prime members (was £249.99)
Not only has the price of my 32-inch set dropped, but Amazon has slashed prices across its entire Fire TV range with the start of its Prime Day sale.
Naturally, I was immediately drawn to the model I own, now available at a steep discount I didn’t see coming when I originally bought it.
For the next 48 hours, Prime members can grab the 32-inch Fire TV Series 2 for just £139.99.
This marks its lowest price yet, even lower than what I saw during the last Amazon sale in March, when it dropped below £180.
To take advantage of this offer, you must be a Prime member or sign up for the 30-day free trial. But with savings of £110 on this deal alone, it pays dividends.
If you’re in the market for a small set for bedrooms, kids rooms, or dens, I have no hesitation in recommending it.
It’s the same model I have in my bedroom and it’s been perfect for me. I’ve enjoyed it every day since I got it (although I’m bummed I missed out on this deal).
The 32-inch screen reads a lot bigger in smaller spaces, but it doesn’t dominate the room, and while I appreciated the 720p resolution at the time, it would be wasted on a TV this size.
But honestly, it’s been as good as HD, at least to my untrained eyes.
Amazon customers are equally happy with their purchases, giving it a solid 4.4 star rating, a score I believe is well-earned.
“Can’t fault this,” said one reviewer, full of praise. “[I] almost bought a set twice the price. Used in the bedroom, quality picture and sound, really easy to set up and Alexa works well with it. 10/10 for this TV.”
Another wrote: “It’s a great TV. Really easy to set up because I have other Amazon devices at home so it does most of the work itself. Good picture and works well with my soundbar.”
On the subject of soundbars, Amazon recently released a new £100 soundbar that aims to address a common concern among Fire TV users, myself included.
Given its budget price, there are usually some trade-offs in terms of quality.
Overall, however, it appears to have overcome most of these concerns. The only downside is that it could use a little more oomph in the volume department. So I’m watching that soundtrack for myself.
If you’ve been considering Fire TVs but want something bigger, I spotted an early deal on the 55-inch Series 4 model, down from £550 to just £330.
This is a great deal for a TV of this size and caliber with 4K compatibility, so I recommend you grab it before the sale ends tomorrow (Wednesday 17th July) at 11.59pm.
