As one of Sony’s first live-action movies to hit the market, there’s a curiosity surrounding Concord that will be largely met by an upcoming beta available a month before release. Concord Beta: How to enter
- Pre-order the game to earn five early access beta codes for you and your friends to use.
- An open beta available to everyone follows a week later.
When you gain access to the Concord beta is determined by whether you pre-order the game on PS5 and PC or not, or if you know someone who does. By pre-ordering the game, you are automatically given five beta codes. You can use one of them to gain early access by entering the code at Shop PS. You are then free to give your friends the other four beta codes so you can team up and play together. This allows you to play the early access beta weekend, which will run from July 12th to 14th, 2024.
If you haven’t pre-ordered the game and don’t know someone who has you can get a code, you’ll have to wait until the open beta weekend from July 18th to 21st, 2024. At this point, anyone will feel free to download Concord beta and try it out. You just need to download it from PS Store.

If you pre-order the game or get a Concord beta code from a friend, you’ll be able to participate in both the early access weekend and the open beta phase. This allows you to start playing from July 12th to 14th, 2024. You can then come back again from July 18th to 21st, 2024. The exact time when the beta will start has not been confirmed yet.
Concord Beta: What you can play
- All 16 Freegunner characters will be available to try out.
- Four maps will be available, with a fifth added during open beta.
- Three modes will be available, with a fourth added during open beta.
Firewalk Studios has revealed that the full launch roster of 16 Freegunners will be playable in the Concord beta, which lets you take on every character available on day one. You can take any of them into battle on four maps in three modes, which span five maps and four modes respectively once the open beta phase begins.
The maps you can play are Freewater, Water Hazard, Star Chamber and Shock Risk. You’ll also get Bone Mines in open beta:
Concord Beta Maps
Set in a fortified outpost on the sun-scorched planet of Glance, Freewater features criss-crossing perimeter lanes and a large central courtyard in the middle of the map that serves as a major convergence point and inspires intense combat engagements.
On the stormy water-covered planet of Leviathan, a massive, armored eel known as the Morack has been captured and is being harvested on a large floating fishing platform. Players will fight their way along the platform and inside the jaws of Morack to a primary harvest site.
Perched atop the highest mountain on the planet Gloom is an ancient observatory with narrow corridors and a meteorite in the center, which creates great opportunities for team fights and one-on-one battles.
Set beneath a massive lightning-harvesting sky-conducting kite on the planet Leviathan, Shock Risk features multiple unique arenas to battle rival crews with paths converging on a large central tower.
The massive vastadon ruins on the tropical planet Akkar have become the site of a lucrative Guild mining operation, where you’ll fight your way through dug-out bones and mining caverns in a mix of close-quarters and mid-range combat.
The modes you can play are Trophy Hunt, Cargo Run and Clash Point. When the open beta starts, area control will also be available:
Concord Beta Modes
A replay-based mode where you fight to take down rival crew members and collect their reward cards to earn points for your team. The first team to reach the target score before time runs out wins the match.
A non-respawn mode where teams compete to retrieve the Blue Buddy robotic package delivery system, place it in one of the zones and protect it from the rival crew to win.
A round-based, non-respawnable game mode where teams compete to control a single capture zone in a central location on the map.
A replay mode where teams compete to control multiple capture and control zones around the map. Control two or more areas to increase your team’s score and reach the point threshold to win.
