Dead By Daylight fans have an exciting month ahead. To start July 2024, Behavior Interactive has released a new collection of Skins Massacre Waterfront. This collection includes Adam Francis and Gabriel Soma, but most of the love in the community goes to Sable Ward. of The DBD community clearly loves the new Sable Ward skinand reminds Dead by Daylight fans of an old quote from Behavior Interactive that explains why the game has such an obsession with legs.

Behavior Interactive has shared the Dead By Daylight roadmap for July 2024 and there is a lot to anticipate from the community. There’s the release of Lara Croft as a survivor, we’re getting Tome 20, and there will also be a limited time event for the new 2v8 mode.

All of the above is very exciting, but now players have a new collection of Waterfront Massacre skins to purchase. Sable Ward’s Whimsical Weather outfit is getting the most attention, and DBD fans are positive it will make for a good amount of interactive behavior.

Dead By Daylight fans love Sable Ward’s Waterfront Massacre skin

Dead By Daylight released three new Waterfront Massacre Collection skins on July 4 for Adam Francis, Gabriel Soma, and Sable Ward. All the skins look attractive and they continue the game’s impressive amount of great and attractive cosmetics.

While Adam and Gabriel both look great, it’s Sable Ward that fans adore the most. DBD Twitch streamer Bearerine believes that “the Sable Bikini cosmetic will be the best seller alone” from the Alan Wake paragraph, and fans unanimously agree that it looks great and will sell extremely well.

It’s an attractive skin as it fits perfectly with the summery aesthetic of Waterfront Massacre while also illustrating Sable Ward’s goth personality. Chapter 31 is one of the best original chapters in the history of the game with Sable and The Unknown killer, and it’s always nice when the show releases fresh cosmetics for the newest characters.

Seeing the skin, fans have light-heartedly joked, “Of course Sable gets bare feet skin right away.” For years, there has been a running gag that Dead By Daylight has a foot fetish. The source of this accusation is the fact that several original female assassins have exposed legs: the Nurse, the Huntress, the Hag, the Spirit, the Plague, the Twins, the Artist, and Onryō.

The Skull Merchant broke the streak of the original DBD female assassins exposing their legs, but clearly the leg fetish continues in 2024 with Sable Ward. This has brought to light an old quote from Interactive’s main character artist rendering that explains why there is so much leg makeup: “No, we don’t like legs; if we make more foot cosmetics, it’s because you like feet. Supply and demand, the data do not lie”.

Reacting to this important quote like never before, Dead By Daylight fans have pointed the finger of blame at BeHaviour. One comment says: “They [BeHaviour] did them [the first five female killers] Barefoot before they realized the community liked feet, they started it, the community embraced it.” Another comment says, “I’m going to believe that the leg makeup is sold now, but I believe that because there is such a history of legs for the default female Killers, I think the fans were called out by it… Who requested that Huntress pull out her fingers?”.

As the comments point out, “Sex (or in this case, legs) sells, even in DbD.” There is nothing wrong with such skins existing, especially when the Dead By Daylight community is fully aware and embracing how “hungry” the community is for many male and female survivors as well as killers. Just remember though, whenever the act releases a cosmetic with fully exposed legs, it’s the fans who are to blame as “data don’t lie”.
