Prime Day 2024 will undoubtedly be rich with deep discounts on PC gaming equipment. But when it goes into full swing on July 16 and 17, it won’t be the only bargain game in town. Not by a long shot. That’s why the RPS Anti-Prime Day guide is back once again, to bring together all the best value hardware deals from non-Amazon retailers in the UK and US.
Why the focus now, when these retailers run PC gaming deals all year round? After all, it’s still doing Amazon. Prime Day, as exclusive to Prime members as it is, still sparks enough shopping frenzy to almost rival Black Friday — and like Black Friday, there are plenty of others who want a piece of the pie. To compete directly with Amazon’s cut prices, PC hardware retailers will discount their products, matching and sometimes even beating the megacorp’s value.
That means everything from the fastest SSDs to simple Steam Deck docks can be yours for a pittance this Prime Day, and you won’t have to give Amazon— it’s not a penny in exchange – let alone sign up for Prime. I’ll be updating this page with my picks of these Anti-Prime Day deals, across all the same device types as our main Day 1 deals hub.
