Early Prime Day 2024 Deals You Can Shop Before Amazon’s July 16-17 Sale

Amazon Prime Day 2024 is coming soon, bringing with it a flood of discounts and deals on everything from household essentials to clothing to technology. Although the shopping event is limited to 48 hours, Amazon usually has early Prime Day deals that roll out for weeks ahead of time. This year is no different: we’re already starting to see early Prime Day deals roll out that members can take advantage of. Plus, there are also a number of solid tech deals available on Amazon that aren’t explicitly tied to Prime Day in July, but are likely to join the rest of the discounts anyway. We’ve rounded up the best early Prime Day deals right here so you don’t have to search for them. We’ll be updating this post regularly, so check back to see the latest discounts.

Apple

A four-pack of Apple’s AirTags are on sale for $80 right now, bringing the price of each one down to just $20. We named AirTag the best Bluetooth tracker for iPhone users in our guide to those fobs, thanks to Apple’s massive finder network that summons any nearby iPhone to anonymously search for your lost stuff.

The latest iPad stylus, the Apple Pencil Pro is currently on sale for $119 on Amazon. That’s just $10 off its original price, but it happens to be the first discount on the new accessory since it launched last month. The new Pencil Pro recognizes squeezes, which can trigger actions such as displaying app-specific tool palettes and shortcuts, and gives you haptic feedback as you use it. It can also detect barrel roll for more accuracy as you draw.

Apple’s latest MacBook Pros are on sale: the 14.2-inch version is down to $1,749 for a configuration with an M3 Pro chip, 18GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD at Amazon and B&H. That’s $250 off Apple’s list price and $50 below the street price we’ve seen on Amazon over the past couple of months, though it’s $50 more than the lowest price we’ve tracked. The 16.2-inch model is also on sale for $2,199, an all-time low. This model has the same basic specs, although it has a slightly stronger 12-core CPU (instead of the 11-core chip in the 14-inch model) and 18-core GPU (instead of a 14-core unit) together with the wider one. the show. Just keep in mind that we may or may not see new M4-based models by the end of the year.

If you’re an Amazon Prime member who’s never subscribed to , you can now get five months of free music streaming service. If you’re a new user who doesn’t have Prime, you can get a free three-month trial. The service typically costs $10 per month for those who subscribe to Prime and $11 per month for those who don’t.

Music Unlimited isn’t a formal recommendation in our guide: its interface isn’t as neat or cleverly curated as that of Apple Music, our top pick, and we’ve found it to be a bit aggressive about promotion of podcasts you might not care about. That said, it’s hard to beat free, and the service has pretty much the same gigantic music library as its peers. It also supports lossless streaming, unlike Spotify, which is a nice plus for audiophiles with high-quality wired headphones. If you just want to save a little money on streaming your music for a few months, it should do the job. Just remember to cancel when your free trial ends, as your subscription will be set to auto-renew by default.

Prime subscribers can now get Amazon’s Echo Dot Kids for $28, matching the lowest price we’ve seen. The smart speaker is technically priced at $60, though we’ve seen it drop into the $35 to $45 range several times over the past year.

As the name implies, this is a kid-friendly variant of Amazon’s small home speaker: It uses the same spherical device as the standard model, but comes with a cute owl or dragon-themed design, a longer warranty two years (instead of a 90-day subscription) and a one-year subscription to the company’s Kids+ service, which includes a range of kid-oriented audiobooks, games, music stations and the like. Like the standard model, there is also a fairly powerful set of parental controls. The quality of that Kids+ content can be spotty, and whether you feel comfortable putting an Amazon speaker in your kid’s bedroom is something only you can answer (though there is a mic mute button). The standard Echo Dot is the “best under $50” pick in our guide to the best smart speakers, and it will almost certainly go on sale during Prime Day. But if you’ve been looking for an affordable music player and audiobook reader that your child can control with their voice, here you go.

A version of one of our top picks for the best robot vacuums, it supports cleaning schedules and home mapping, plus it comes with a self-emptying base that can hold debris for up to 60 days.
