The Elden ring gamers started an uproar recently after the recent release of Shadow of Erdtree Extension, with many believing that it is simply too difficult. The new enemies were (and still are) sweeping the floor with players and countless boss fights were (and still are) people with a shot out of the gate. This makes the fact that a player has noticed already managed to beat the final boss of the DLC without being healed, dodged or blocked even more ridiculously.
Spoilers for the final boss Shadow of Erdtree follow.
or poster on Reddit shared a clip of them war against Radahnwhich players may recognize as one of the necessary fights required to begin Shadow of Erdtree DLC. Despite Radahn’s return, his fight at the end of the DLC is completely different and he boasts a completely new moveset that has made him a real pain in the ass for players to overcome. Of course, he’s no match for this tainted chosen one though, who manages to deal with Radahn like they’re a pesky bug that requires swatting.
Before entering the boss arena, the player clearly collects the spells that will help them accomplish the remarkable feat of not using dashes, blocks, or healing dodges for the entire fight. These elements are essential to the game, let alone its many gruesome combats, so managing without them shows an impressive understanding of the rest of the game’s mechanics and capabilities.
Among the abilities used are two spells, Blessing’s Boon and Golden Vow, which heal the player over time and increase their damage and defense, respectively. They also use MalenaGreat rune of restoration and nurtures their body, which is a once-in-a-lifetime consumable that can be mixed with two different effects. The one used here is a very popular mix containing opaline and crimson bubble grits, which grant one-hit invulnerability and restore a significant amount of health once you’re close to death.
At that point, the player enters the fight and simply destroys Radahn. As one person put it in the Reddit comments, “I think this was Radahn’s boss fight against you, not the other way around.” Not only do they passively heal the entire short fight, but every time they take damage, they also regain a good amount of health. The player is almost constantly above the 50 percent health mark, carrying the entirety of the encounter thanks to the use of the previously mentioned spells, and at some points in the battle they can even be seen trading talismans to further mitigate damage. . I was amazed to see someone exert such command over the fight considering the fact that they are often supposed to have the player on their back foot, not the other way around.
After all, they also use the Endurance skill – which increases your balance and absorbs a certain amount of damage – as well as a damage-reducing Scent to hang in there and take Radahn’s meteor ultimate, and you can see the player’s health bar bounce around as their skills work overtime to reset them passively. They make it to enough health to take the killing blow and just like that, the DLC is done and dusted; the final boss reduced to a complete joke.
If recjawjind_fmfb can manage all this by doing his best, the rest of us lowly mortals you could probably squeeze in the bare minimum, especially given the DLC received patched to be easier recently. So if you are thinking like that The Elden ring or its DLC are very difficult, here’s proof positive that you can reduce the bosses of this game to absolutely nothing with a little bravery, wits and a few skill points dropped in the confidence stat.
